THOUSANDS of AT&T customers in the United States are struggling to access services.
Per Downdetector, most of the reports cite issues with TV services.
Over 3,000 customers have flooded Downdetector to report the outage.
AT&T has confirmed the U-verse outage was caused by inclement weather, in a post onX, formerly known as Twitter.
“We’re aware of a temporary U-verse outage caused by inclement weather, are working to restore the service and apologize for the inconvenience,” a representative for the companywrote in responseto a frustrated customer.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to AT&T for comment on the outage, but has not heard back.

Reports continue to drop
Downdetector reports have continued to drop.
They now sit at under 300, with the majority of users reporting that they can now access AT&T TV services.

'Hang in there'
While services have returned for many customers, some are still missing out.
One user encouraged others to hang in there as they wait.
"Ok. Some areaa are up some are still down. Hang in there," they wrote in the Downdetector comments.
"It looks like service is being restored, albeit, not as quickly as some would like.
"Lucky for me I have books, Brings to mind a line from the Princess Bride, 'When I was your age TV was called books.'"

AT&T responds to frustrated customers
In response to an angry customer who called the outage "unacceptable," AT&T wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, "We apologize for the inconvenience with U-verse TV.
"Rest assured our technicians are actively working to get this resolved as soon as possible.
"Thank you for hanging in there with us, we appreciate your patience."

Customers slam AT&T
Angry AT&T users are slamming the service company for its outage.
One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: " @ATT this is unacceptable.
"Your co. had 139 years worth of Winters to develop a work-around for this yet here we are going into the 14th hour that your service has been down."

More on possible compensation
AT&T states in its terms of use that customers may receive a credit in the event of an outage, according toAllConnect.
However, it doesn't explicitly say what factors would qualify a customer for a refund.
In any case, it's worth building a case and contacting AT&T if you've been affected by an outage.

AT&T has seemingly confirmed the cause of the U-verse outage in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Some customers are reporting that the service is now working for them.

Another added: "Just came back on here in Gary, Indiana."

'Get your bill credit!'
Customers are advising each other to contact AT&T to get a bill credit.
One wrote on the Downdetector page: "Everyone make sure you call or chat and get your bill credit! This a nuts to be without tv service this long when you pay that much.."
Another commented: "Update: Finally got a service rep after 2 hr wait time. The issue is known and all they can do right now is calculate how much your bill credit will be and sign you up for text updates on service restoration."

Customers are continuing to flood social media to slam the company.

The alert reads: "Service Alert:We are aware of a nationwide Uverse TV (IPTV) outage and are working to restore services as quickly as possible."

As users report issues with reaching customer support, some are questioning if the company is staffed today.
One wrote on Downdetector: "Uverse is out here in Irving, Texas. Been down since 7:30 pm last night. No one is answering at AT&T support. Not sure if anyone is working today."

'Phone wait time is 11 hours'
